Linking back to your blog/website
The tip this week applies to anyone who has a blog or website.
Alexa is an industry standard to find general statistics about websites. You can tell a lot about a website or a blog from searching for it from Alexa. Although visitors/ traffic is very important, many people overlook this very important statistic. One very important thing to remember is, you will never have a high ranking website or blog without having sites link to yours. It's an important factor to your website score.
How to fix it? If you have no links into your blog, you can quickly change that with these tips:
1. Ask other bloggers to insert your website on their blog. This is by far the hardest option as it takes the most time and you have to convince people to do it.
2. Join a blogging group on facebook and ask many bloggers at once to do this. These groups are invaluable. I use them all the time for various things. Find blogging groups with as many members as possible. Make sure you follow the rules of the group. Don't get discourage if no one bites. The group will be useful for other things as well.
3. Creating a link back post. Here is how to do it: Create a blog post, for example, about easy crafts. Find easy crafts from blogs on pinterest. Mention them in your blog and credit the blog you found it under with the link. Polish your post and publish. Go to the links and in the comments section say something along the lines of this: "Thank you so much for this awesome post, I have referenced it in my blog, you can view it here: (Insert your specific blog link)." Want an example click here. It sounds difficult but I guarantee you probably have already done it in one way or another on your blog or social media. This boosts your blog statistics significantly and you can do it with virtually any subject. I recommend you do one of these at least every 3 months.
4. Post your blog posts on Pinterest and Reddit. But even before you do that, make sure each blog post contains at least one great photo that is eye catching and will attract attention. Want an example, click here. I create these type of photos using the free app Aviary.
